Richmond Public Library - Marketing and Communications

February 2014 - April 2015

- Lead on Social Media Marketing, Strategy and Content Curation
- Lead on purchasing 3D printers, installation, maintenance and set up for the 3D printers, designing and purchasing the plexiglass housing for the 3D printers at the Richmond Public Library
- Trained library staff on using the 3D printers and developed first procedures in place for usage
- Initial concept and development of 3D printer programming, the Innovator-in-Residence Program, the 3D Printing Demo Day, 3D printer certification concept, taking the 3D printers to other branches and making available the first 12 items available for the public to print plus the first holiday themed items. (Sold out daily with lineups outside the library each morning when the Marketing Team was in charge)
- On the team that implemented the Launchpad, the digital services point at the library. Was responsible for naming the space and the tagline.

- Copywriting, development and creative direction
- Planning, coordinating and implementing marketing, communications, fundraising and sponsorship activities for library special events, educational and cultural displays
- 3D printing technical assistance and printer maintenance
- Promoting interest and participation in program activities
- Preparing press releases, press kits and public service announcements for local media
- Researching and recommending the library marketing plan for approval by the Chief Librarian and implementing approved activities.
